Men’s Health Awareness – Movember Infographic

Each year, roughly 242,000 American men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 28,000 deaths are attributed to this disease. Testicular cancer — which is common in both young and middle-aged men has 8,500 new cases diagnosed each year and more than 350 deaths.

Movember is finally here to help promote awareness and funds for mens health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancers.

Men are asked to start clean-shaven at the beginning of November and grow their mustache through the end of the month, getting family, friends and colleagues to contribute donations for their efforts. Women can also join in and participate by starting teams, donating, and being a little more lenient to their guys scratchy stache.

Last year, Movember generated over $15 million toward research, education and survivorship in the United States and this year organizers say 21 countries will be teaming up with this campaign to change the face of mens health.
