Author, educator, and international lecturer, Charles spent his childhood in Versailles, MO and most of his career in the Kansas City, MO Metro area before moving out to Las Vegas, NV as the Executive Director of Professional Fitness Institute, the premier provider of education, training, and curriculum to the personal fitness training industry. Charles is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri where he received his Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Exercise and Sport Science and A.T. Still University where he received his Doctor of Health Education degree. Charles is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the National Physical Activity Society (NPAS), the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAPHERD), and the American Association of Health Education (AAHE). Charles is a Certified Health Education Specialist with the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, a certified Personal Trainer with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certified Lifestyle and Weight Management Health Coach with the American Council on Exercise, and holds a Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist certification in addition to the Exercise is Medicine® Credential Level II with the American College of Sports Medicine. In 2012, Charles authored the text, "Business Management for the Personal Fitness Trainer" with the help of several industry leading subject matter experts. Currently, Charles is an Associate Faculty member of the University of Phoenix-Las Vegas teaching health and nutrition classes and a National Faculty member of the United States Sports Academy teaching various fitness and sport courses internationally. Charles is also the National Strength and Conditioning Association State Director for State of Nevada.
